About us
Heathscapes are a small family business, with over 30 years' experience. We work to British Arboricultural Standards, and are fully insured for arboricultural work at height. Tree surgery is considered a very high risk profession and as such is expensive to cover by insurance and only insured by a small percentage of specialist insurance firms. However for your piece of mind and our operators safety and support and safety of the public, we invest heavily in all the appropriate insurance cover. Personal protective equipment is mandatory throughout all our operations and the appropriate ongoing checks for safety equipment, risk assessment, site safety management and competent operations is reviewed on site per job.
All arising brash from tree/hedging operations is chipped, and all wood removed from site.

Our accreditations
We strive to maintain a high level of accreditation to support our high standards of work.
Competent arborists will have certificates which show that they have been trained and assessed. They will often have other academic qualifications in arboriculture and will use safety equipment to protect you, your property and themselves. All staff at Heathscapes hold certificates appropriate to the work they undertake. We maintain a staff skills matrix and undertake regular update and refresher training.

Do you work to a British Standard?
The British Standard relevant to arboricultural work is BS3998: 2010 Recommendations for Tree Work. It gives guidance on management options for established trees (including soil care and tree felling) and overgrown hedges. All our tree work is completed inaccordance with BS 3998:2010 Tree Work Recommendations.
